My name is Timothy Rollo, and I will be the host of this blog. I came into this world on September 25th, 1996 in the mysterious and far-off land known as Southern New Jersey. I grew up in and still currently live in the far-off, mysterious land known as Southern New Jersey. I attended and graduated both school and college in the mysterious and far off land known as Southern New Jersey. And while I ultimately plan on traveling the world (hopefully sooner than later), on the day I ultimately shuffle off my mortal coil, I will most likely give my body to the ground of the mysterious and far off place known as Southern New Jersey.
My life up until this point has been a mostly mundane one, but with one notable deviation from the norm; I grew up on the Autism Spectrum. And throughout my life, I have spent most of my spare time getting lost in the many strange worlds of fiction. As a child, I spent a decent amount of my time off with a television set, being exposed to cartoons both classic and modern, console video games from Nintendo and Sony, family-friendly movies, and also had some time to spend with websites such as Neopets. As an adult, I've expanded my palate to more adult-oriented films (particularly old-school classics and works of the horror genre), more complex and mature games (plus indies and even the retro classics of yore), Japanese anime, and even some of the myths and folktales spread across the world-including some not far from my own backyard in South Jersey!
Something Niche.com is a place that I have carved out for myself that allows me to share the stories that have practically become a metaphorical third parent in my life. Within the library of this newly established blog, I will share with generations both old and new (though especially new) retrospective analyses of some of my favorites in movies, television, animation, gaming, comics, and all types of fiction in between, particularly focusing on works that have been undeservedly forgotten by the public eye as new generations have been born or even sometimes right out of the gate! Later down the line, I will also be sharing some of my favorite folktale legends and mythological tales from across the globe, as well as the impact they have had on the stories indulged by the masses. I will even share some of my own ideas for future endeavors involving my favorite IPs, and even some of my own creative ideas as I develop my skillset. From Cartoon Network to Eli Craig, from American Cryptids to Korean Folktales, no topic will be out of the reach of Something Niche.com
